More on Bicycles in Shanghai

Did you know...have I mentioned...that in Shanghai...and probably in most big cities in China...that if you have a bike, you have to register it with the bicycle-licensing arm of the government?
Once registered, you even get a cute little license plate to attach to your basket.
Did you also know...have I also mentioned...that at last read (my read of stats about bicycles in Shanghai)...there are over 9 MILLION bicycles registered in Shanghai?
9 MILLION!!!!
That’s 9,000,000!!!
It’s a wonder I’ve only knocked 1 over.
